Parent Portal Guide for Parents
The school will turn on portal access for parents.
Log In
Parent will receive an email with their email (username) and password. They will need to use that email and password to login. Parents will go to http://connect.adventisteducation.org or select the Login in Now.
Parent Portal View Explanation
Homepage
The Homepage provides parents with a view of the student schedule, student messages, and student grades. The homepage is filtered by current quarter. Parents who have multiple students in schools who are using AE-Connect can select their names at the top switch view to see student information. .
Classes
Classes are an area parent can see all of the student's classes for the quarter. There is a term switcher for parent to choose past quarters.
Parents can click directly on the name of a class to be taken to the class detail pages to see assignments.
Messages
Messages is an area for parents to view the student messages that are sent between the student and the parent. Parents have an area to send messages that is accessible on the top right of parent portal.
Parent Messages
Parents can see and send messages from the Parent Portal by selecting the message icon on the top right of portal next avatar.
Parent Profile & Notifications
Parents have the ability to manage their own information and notifications through the Parent Portal. To update their profile, parents should click on the icon located in the upper right corner and select Update Profile. This action will open the profile flyout, allowing parents to make any necessary edits to their information.
Furthermore, parents can control their notifications for progress reports and missing assignments at the bottom of the Parent Profile fly-in.
