Add Staff Member

Staff members are added to the NAD User ID Manager by the conference. Staff is then synced into AE-Connect after being added to the NAD User ID Manager. Once staff members appear in AE-Connect, the school can proceed to add permissions to their accounts and assign them homeroom students and classes.


This guide will show you how to sync staff, add permissions and provide access to the new staff member.

Syncing Staff

Staff members are synced from the Staff screen in AE-Connect. To initiate the synchronization process, please navigate to the action menu (marked by a yellow plus sign) and select the "Sync Staffs" option.


Permissions

The school should add a permission group to the staff member. This can be accomplished by selecting the staff member from the list and navigating to the bottom of the page to access the Permissions section. Utilize the drop-down menu to designate the appropriate permission group to which they should belong.

Providing Login Access

The staff member will utilize the identical login email that they have in the NAD User ID Manager. The login email is also presented in the Staff Account page under the School Email.

💥School Email serves as the user's login email.

The user should navigate to http://connect.adventisteducation.org, select Forgot Password, enter the email from the School Email, and proceed with the instructions to establish a password.

Password Instructions:   


  •  Select forgot password to set your password. 
  • You will get an email to your email above and if you select if it will have a reset password url. 
  • You will be directed to a reset page. Please type in your new password
  • You will be redirected to a login page. Enter your email and your password. 
  • You will be directed to a page asking for a 6 digit code.  Check your email for a 6 digit code. Enter the 6 digit code. Check the box under the code to remember the code for 30 days.
