Admissions (Advanced) : Enrolling Returning Students into a Process

The school can enroll students into an Enrollment Process to commence the paperwork for the upcoming school year.

NOTE: Forms and Processes must be in placed before students are re-enrolled. You can find the guide for that here.

ACTIVE Admissions

The school must activate Admissions before assigning students to a process. The Admission Active toggle is located next to the school year. Please ensure that you enable the Admission active setting for the upcoming school year.

Grey means it is off and BLUE means it is active/on.

Re-Enrolling Last Year Students

Last year students are enrolled into a process in the Admissions area under Students. User should use the action menu to select Re-Enroll Students.

NOTE: It is VERY IMPORTANT to ensure that the process(s) you assign to a student are complete. Once you allocate the process to a student, any updates to the process WILL NOT be reflected on the parent portal.

Parents are required to access the Parent Portal to complete the Admission Process. Please refer to Portal Access for detailed instructions on how to provide parents with portal access.

After the school has solidified the process, the next step is to assign students to the process for parents to complete in the Parent Portal.

The user will navigate to AE-Connect > Admissions > Students and utilize the yellow + button to choose Re-Enroll Students.

Upon clicking, a flyout will appear. From there, the user can select the students to re-enroll, designate the process to which these students should be assigned, and then click on Initiate Process.

Once the students have been initiated into a process, the parent will be able to view an Enrollment Checklist on their Parent Portal. The parent can select the Enrollment Checklist to see the steps they need to complete.

NOTE: Parents do not receive an email when their student is initiated into a process. The school should send a separate email informing parents that the Admission process is open and advising them to log into the Parent Portal to complete it.
