Allow Teacher to take Attendance for another Teacher

Overview

AE-Connect allow a Homeroom Teacher to take attendance for another Homeroom teacher for a temporary time.

Description

There are instances when a homeroom teacher may be absent, necessitating another homeroom teacher to record attendance for the class. School personnel with staff access can ENABLE Attendance temporarily, permitting the designated teacher to take attendance for students outside their assigned homeroom.


How does this work?

Example: Abbey Cummings is homeroom teacher who is out for the day and Natalie Rose needs to take attendance for Abbey for the day.  I would select the menu to the left of Abbey to open the Enable Attendance module.  I would then assign Natalie as the teacher and choose the dates Natalie should be able to take attendance for Abbey and save.

Once this is done Natalie would navigate to Attendance and see a dropdown where she can choose Abbey to access the attendance for the class.
