Copying Classes Quarter to Quarter

Overview

AE-Connect Class setup includes Term checkboxes in each class. Each class needs to have the term checkboxes selected for which term the class should appear. The term checkboxes are vital for creating the class schedules for each quarter.

This method does NOT use "Clone From"

Copying a class schedule copies all classes, including the following settings:

  • Subject, name, abbreviation and teachers
  • Meeting URL, if set for classes
  • Gradebook options
  • Grading Scale
  • Default assignment grading
  • Class Schedule
  • Student enrollment in each class

  1. Each class needs to have the term checkboxes selected for which term the class should appear. The term checkboxes are vital for creating the class schedules for each quarter.

  1. Navigate to Scheduling > Class Schedules > use action menu to create "New Class Schedule"

  1. When the New Class Schedule flyout opens add Name, Abbreviation and Term. DO NOT SELECT "CLONE FROM". Once Name, Abbreviation and Term are added select Save.
  2. Selecting Save will create the new class schedule and pull any classes into the term that are check. Example: I am creating Quarter 3 class schedule. The system will see which classes have Quarter 3 selected and add those to my Quarter 3 Schedule.
