Special Marks for Assignments

Overview

AE-Connect enables authorized users to update special marks for the entire school.

Description & Pictures

Authorized users with Grading permissions in the School Profile are now able to add/edit values to the existing special marks and create new special marks.

1. Access the School Profile and navigate to the Grading section
2. Users have the ability to modify values for existing special marks and descriptions, while some marks and descriptions are restricted from being edited and are displayed in the Student and Parent Portal.
3. Make necessary updates to the values for the entire school and save the changes. A confirmation prompt will appear to confirm the modification.
4. Users can utilize the +New Special Marks feature to add a new special mark that will be applicable to the entire school.

Explanation of Marks that show in Student and Parent Portal

1. ex = excused: This code when used in the assignment for a student will show as excused for the assignment grade in the student and parent portal.
2. /=missing: This code when used in the assignment for a student will show an missing icon for the assignment grade in the student and parent portal that indicates the assignment is missing. This code is also tied to our Parent Notifications and Missing Assignment Report
3. REC=Received: his code when used in the assignment for a student will show as Received not yet graded for the assignment grade in the student and parent portal.
