Teaching Administrators Permission

Overview

Teaching administrators typically require the capability to access all students and all classes in the school in order to effectively manage the institution. AE-Connect has implemented a new default setting, so that when teaching administrators access all students and classes, the system defaults to their own classes and students but provides the option to view all when necessary.

How does this work?

Teaching administrators are granted the All Students and All Class permissions within the Security area. However, when they access the Students, Class, or Assignments sections, they will now only see the classes to which they are assigned as teachers and the students for whom they are the homeroom teacher or instructor. They can use the "Show All" option to display all classes or students when necessary.

The user will also be able to see all classes in the Subject View however, only the class you teach will be selected.  The user can always select the other classes they wish to see.
