SBG: Student and Parent Portal Options
Overview
AE-Connect provides two SBG sections within the student portals to support both older and younger students. Users can select, by class, which SBG section their students will see on the portal. The parent will view the exact same SBG interface as the students.
The available options are as follows:
My Progress — designed for older students, grades 8–12.
My Journey — designed for younger students, grades 5–7.
This guide will walk you through both options and explain how to set them up.

My Journey View
My Journey View of the Student and Parent portal is intended for younger learners, but it can also be used by older learners. This view of the SBG classes is designed to be more interactive.
This screen presents each class in a card format, along with a journey timeline that shows what has been completed, what is currently in progress, and what is next. The students will see a caricature guiding them through the journey.

Students can select a subject to explore the class details. At the top of the page, the student will see their learning journey and learning goals below. Students may choose any measurement topic to review what they have accomplished, what they are currently working on, and what they have not yet started.

Students may select any of the sections within the measurement topic to review what they have accomplished, what they are currently working on, and what they have not yet started. This approach is designed to support sustained motivation and encourage students to continue working toward the stated learning goals.
NOTE: Students may select the Not Started option only if at least one formative assessment has been added.
