Auto-Drop Assignments
AE Connect lets you automatically drop assignments from a gradebook category. This guide covers how to set up an auto drop, how to undo one, and how to recalculate grades afterward.
Before You Start
• Auto drop is only available in Gradebook Version 2.
• You can only auto drop when you are viewing one class. If you are viewing multiple classes in the same subject, auto drop is unavailable. Narrow your view down to a single class to use it.
How to Auto Drop Assignments
1. Open Auto Drop Assignments. The auto drop modal opens.
2. Choose the category you want to auto drop assignments in. Each category must be done separately.
3. Choose how many assignments to drop (up to 10).
4. Choose the drop method based on your grading method:
– Percentage grading: choose Average.
– Points grading: choose Points (earned points).
5. Select Drop Grades.
The dropped grades now appear grayed out in the gradebook.

How to Undo an Auto Drop
Undo a previous auto drop
1. Go to Auto Drop Assignments, then Classwork, then Previous Drops.
2. Remove the previous drop. This removes at least one of the previous drops.
Remove individual drops
If you want to remove other drops, do it from the gradebook:
1. In the gradebook, select the assignment's percent, max, or grade. The assignment modal opens.
2. At the bottom of the modal, select Does not affect grade.
3. Select Save.
4. Repeat for each remaining dropped assignment until the auto drop is fully removed.

Recalculate the Gradebook
After removing auto drops, you can make sure the grades are accurate by selecting Recalculate at the top of the gradebook.
