How to Make Changes to School Calendar
Overview
Throughout the academic year, the educational institution may encounter unforeseen circumstances that necessitate the cancellation of classes. Such occurrences include Snow Days, Emergencies, Power Outages, and the like. Consequently, the school administration is obliged to modify the school calendar to accurately reflect the days when students were unable to attend classes.
School's may also require changes to their school days for events such as unexpected half days or remote learning days.
Description & Pictures
Changing the school day designation to an option that is not a Day Template will remove the ability to take attendance on that day.
Days that require attendance must be assigned a Day Template.
Remote Learning
When schools have a Remote Learning day should select the checkbox on the School Calendar on the day that Remote Learning occurred.
No-School Days & School Days (no attendance)
Users should select a No-School days for days that school was not in session.
Users should select School Day when they school day should count toward overall school days but no attendance is required.
Day Templates
Schools will utilize Bulk Assign School Days for scheduling school days at the beginning of the academic year. However, schools may wish to update day templates during the school year, and users can make the necessary updates as needed.
Instructions
User should navigate Scheduling > School Calendar to the specific day you wish to modify. Utilize the dropdown menu to designate it as a no-school day, or school day designation.
