Getting to know Messages Screen

In order to access the messaging feature, select the message icon located at the top right corner of AE-Connect.

The Messages Screen comprises the Inbox and Sent Box for the Administrator or Teacher.

The messages screen allows users to view received messages, review messages they have sent to others, and compose new messages.

Get Started Creating a New Message

New messages are created by selecting the action bar under messaging and selecting "New Message". The "New Message" flyout will open, allowing the user to begin creating the message. Start typing in the recipient's name and a dropdown will open, allowing the user to select one or more recipients. The subject line is required. The body of the message will allow unlimited characters. Attachments are allowed in the messages. Once you have composed your message, it can be sent using the "SEND" button. The sent message will appear in the recipient's email as a link that they can select to view the message in the AE-Connect portal.

Types of Messages

If none of the options below are selected, the email will simply inform the recipient that a new message is available. The recipient must then log into the parent, student, or staff portal to view the message.

💥 Broadcast: Broadcast enables the message to be directly sent to the recipient's email, allowing them to view it without having to log in to the parent, student, or staff portal.

💥Alert: Alerts enable the message to be directly sent to the recipient's email, allowing them to view it without having to log in to the parent, student, or staff portal. The email templates will have a red banner at the top.

Get Started Inbox and Sent Messages

The Inbox and Sent Messages display all the messages that the user has sent and received. Users can select a message from either box to view the corresponding conversation. Additionally, users have the ability to reply to messages within the Inbox or Sent Messages. If there are any unwanted messages, users can easily delete them. It's important to note that deleted messages are not permanently removed, but rather hidden from the user's view.
