Overview
This guide will cover the second step of completing report cards in AE-Connect. Step 2 of the report card process in AE-Connect consists of completing and posting Social Development and Work Ethic Skills.
AE-Connect uses a three-step report card process.
Step 1: (View Guide Here) Post class grades & complete/post complete skills to AE-Connect report cards.
- Class grades are for students in Grades 1–12.
- Skills are for students in Grades K–8.
Step 2: Complete and post Social development/Work ethic
- Social development and work ethic are for students in Grades K–8.

Completing Social Development and Work Ethic
Step 1. Open Social Development and Work Ethic
You can reach it two ways: from the middle menu or from the side menu,
Explanation of Picture
- Choose the quarter: Pick the quarter you are working on. Elementary grades report by quarter only, so there is no semester option for these grades.
- Select the grade group: Choose the grade group you want to evaluate. The student grid for that group loads.
- Evaluate each student: The scale depends on grade level:

| Kindergarten | The kindergarten scale your school uses. Two options appear in the walkthrough: ESN or IPNT. |
| All other grades |
O = Outstanding S = Satisfactory N = Needs improvement |
4. Fill in the grid, one cell at a time or in bulk : You can complete marks individually. To save time, use the same shortcuts as the skills in your class area:
• Select a skill (for example, Demonstrates Respectful Behavior) to fill the whole row for that skill.
• Select the grading scale at the top of the grid to fill the entire grid.
Adjust any individual student afterward as needed.
- Add comments: Use the comment option to write a comment for a student. Comments appear on the AE Connect report card under the heading Social Development and Work Ethic.
- Post the skills : Evaluations do not reach the report card until you post them. Open the Action menu and choose Post skills.
Once posted, a green checkmark appears next to each skill. That checkmark confirms the skill is posted to the report card.
| Remember: marks and comments that are not posted will not show on the report card. Look for the green checkmarks before you finish. |
