How to add a class

Classes are established at the Administrator permission level. Administrators navigate to the Scheduling > Class Schedules.


Please choose the name of the Class Schedule to which you wish to add the class.



Utilize the Action menu on the left to choose the option "Add Class."

The Add Class flyout will be displayed.

Complete the necessary fields to add a class:

Fields Required for Adding a Class


  • Class Name
  • Class Abbreviation
  • Category - The category classwork is pre-filled. You can edit the name but it cannot be deleted. At least one category is required.
  • Grading Scale (Choose the grading scale appropriate for the class) (ex. when making a class for grade 2 I would choose the 1-2 grading scale. )
    • IMPORTANT! Once the class is saved the grading scale cannot be changed!
  • Default Assignment Grading - This will be the default for all assignment in the class. Default assignment grades can be change per assignment in Add/Edit Assignment.
  • Class Schedule
    • Day Template
    • Track
    • Period

Students can be added to the class in this flyout or under Bulk Enroll.

Save the new class using the Save button on the top right.
