Attendance
Class Attendance by Student
We have added a new freature for those who take Class/Period Attendance for your students. This is ONLY an Admin permission. The School Admins who have ALL Students Permission can now access Student Attendance to take attendance by student for all class periods. Class Attendance by Student
Messaging Updates
- The "Broadcast" option is now automatically selected when sending a new message. This feature allows the message to be sent directly to the email of the user, without the recipient having to log in to view it.
- Updated recipients for "All Grades" to reflect both "All Grades (Student)" and "All Grades (Guardian)".
- Updated the classes in the recipient list to show class abbreviations, making it easier to find classes to message.
- Added the options to "Mark All as Read", "Mark All as Unread", "Archive", and "Delete" in the AE-Connect inbox, and "Delete" in the Draft box.
- New Permission: Provided new permissions for users to message "All Students" and "Parents" in the school without requiring "All Students" permissions.

Update Custom Groups for messaging to provide studnets name next to the guardian.
Permissions
Class Permissions
AE-Connect provides permissions to classes. All permissions are found under School Profile > Security.
- App Settings > ALL CLASSES: The allow classes permissions allows the user to see all classes in the entire school.
- When users do not have this permission they will only see the classes they teach.

- My Classes > Edit Class: This allows the users to edit the the classes they have access to. The user can edit all aspects of the class.

- My Classes > Edit Class Categories: This allows the users to ONLY edit the Class Categories and the Gradebook section of the classes they have access too.

- Users who DO NOT have Edit Class or Edit Class Categories cannot edit any aspects of the classes they have access too.
Teaching Administrator Permission
This new feature is for School Administrators who also teach. This new update defaults to the classes and students they teach with the ability to show/hide all students, all classes, or all assignments. The new update will make it easier for users who have access to All Students and All Classes, instead of having to edit the permissions to filter students and classes.

Student and Parent Portal Update
In the Student and Parent Portal we have added the percentage of the class as well as the abilty to Show Detail for the parents and students to see the overall grade as well the percetnage of hte class categories. The Student and Parent Portal Guides have been updated.
