Texting!

Texting functionality has now been implemented. We are delighted to announce that AE-Connect now offers texting capabilities for parents and staff to receive emails via text. In addition, parents will also receive notifications for progress reports and missing assignments via text. For further details, please refer to the provided guides.

Attendance Notifications

AE-Connect has added a new notifications. We have added Attendance Notifications.  Parents can opt-in to receive emails and texts when their student is marked Absent unexcused(A) or Tardy unexcused (T).

Attendance Update

AE-Connect has not updated the Attendance screen. The Attendance screen will load faster. 

The other BIG update we did was for those who have ALL STUDENTS permissions the teacher dropdown in the Attendance screen will now default to the logged in user.

The user is still able to choose All teachers or a specific teachers from the dropdown list.

Co-Teacher

Previously, AE-Connect only permitted 2 co-teachers. Now, AE-Connect allows users to add multiple co-teachers to a class. The Co-Teacher feature is now multi-select, enabling co-teachers to take attendance, create assignments, grade assignments, complete term grades, and view students in the student list. Reports

1. Class Attendance Report is available. Class Attendance Report Guide
2. Progress Report (9-12): Term selector has been added. Progress Report Guide
3. Student Progress Report: Report was not display letter grades. This has been updated. Student Progress Report
4. Truancy Report: The Truancy Report pertain to classes with Class Attendance only.  This report comprises the student's name, grade ID number, and the total of absent(unexcused) and tardy (unexcused) depending on the filters.  
5. Assignment Report Updates: The Assignment report  has been updated.  Users can pull assignments for all classes including missing,  pull just missing assignments across all classes or now you can pull assignments or missing assignments  for just one class. 
6. Grade Rank & Eligibility Report: The Grade Rank & Eligibility Report pertains to Grades 3-8. This report comprises the student's name, grade ID number, and the average percentage of grades across all classes, irrespective of the filters. The section on low grades encompasses classes that have fulfilled the specified criteria.

Student Events and Behavior

AE-Connect has updated our Student Event section with the ability to email events to parents and staff. The ability to print the events have also been added.

AE-Connect has addressed an issue that previously hindered users with only student events permissions from viewing or creating new events for their homeroom/class students. Users with student events permissions can now create events for students and view the events they have added

Students

The counselor box in the student account has not been updated to a drop down to choose staff from the school list.
